Cancer is one of the most dreaded illnesses in the world. This is mainly due to the fact that it has a high mortality rate (It is the 2nd leading cause of death worldwide) and its treatment results in drastic side-effects. Let's not forget about the costs (Keytruda, a cancer drug, costs $120,000 a year). There are so many factors in our environment, diet, lifestyle, and living conditions that contribute to the development of cancer that makes it very difficult to prevent the condition. This is not to say that nothing can be done, as there are many steps we can take for cancer prevention. Treatment, on the other hand, doesn't have to be so severe in terms of side-effects given that there are many clinically-proven natural options for preventing and treating them....
It is a known thing that drugs are becoming a part of daily life for a majority of the population. Unfortunately, many drugs are far too costly, while others have drastic side-effects, and some even cause other diseases. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is chronic inflammatory condition that affects the connective tissue and starts in the joints. Most people associate this condition primarily with the joints due the fact that the main symptom is joint pain, however, it can affect multiple other organs and tissues in the body such as the heart, eyes, nerves, kidneys, skin, circulatory system and lungs. RA is an autoimmune condition, which means the body's own immune system begins to attack healthy tissue. In this case, the synovium - the lining of the joints....
Psoriasis is a common skin disorder in which skin cells replicated 10 times faster than they should. While the skin cells multiply rapidly, the rate of old cells sloughing off remains the same. The excess cells begin to build up and present as bumpy red patches that are covered with silvery or whitish scales and plaques. It most commonly occurs on the scalp, elbows, knees, buttocks, lower back, and backs of wrists, however, it can technically occur anywhere on the body. These patchy rashes do not usually itch, however, they may bleed if you do scratch them....
The key immune function indicator in HIV positive patients is the CD4 cell count. This helps assess the strength of a patient's immune system as well as disease progression. The lower the CD4 cell count goes, the weaker the immune system gets. It is a known thing that as HIV progresses, the CD4 cell count goes down to the point where a patient becomes immuno-compromised, resulting in AIDS – Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. At this point, the patient becomes prone to life-threatening opportunistic infections....
The term "varicocele" refers to the occurrence of varicose veins within the scrotum - the pouch of skin that contains the testicles. This typically occurs due to poorly functioning valves within the veins. This can lead to decreased sperm production and quality which can lead to reduced fertility. It can also lead to testicular atrophy (shrinkage). If it occurs early in life, it can lead to a failure of the testicles to properly develop. Typically, varicoceles are easy to diagnose and don't usually require any treatment. When the condition is symptomatic or is severely impacting one's fertility, a patient may opt for inguinal surgery known as varicocelectomy to correct the varicocele....
Restless leg syndrome, also known as Willis-Ekbom Disease, is a nervous system condition that produces an uncontrollable and severe urge to move your legs. It tends to be a rather unpleasant sensation and is only relieved by moving one's legs, however, this relief is usually temporary. It tends to affect people more at night and can result in sleeplessness due to discomfort. Typically, the conditions tend to worsen with age. There are, however, many things that can be done to manage this condition effectively....
The vaginal canal is lined with moist mucous membranes that secrete a nutrient-rich fluid to lubricate the vagina as well as create a suitable environment for the healthy bacteria that make up the vaginal microbiota. This environment helps create an environment that is alkaline enough to allow for sperm to travel up the vagina for the purpose of fertilzation but also moist enough to allow for comfortable sexual penetration without friction. When the vaginal fluid is reduced, a woman can experience vaginal dryness which can result in vaginal and pelvic discomfort. Typically, as a woman ages, the vaginal wall becomes thin and vaginal secretions lessen. This is generally associated with menopause, however, there are several other causes of vaginal dryness as well....

Given that almost 80% of the US population has some form of gum disease, it can be said that Gingivitis is a very common condition. Treatment usually involves professional cleaning and the use of an antibacterial mouthwash....
Varicose veins are basically swollen and sometimes twisted veins that bulge through the skin. The development of varicose veins is the result of damaged vein valves. These valves usually get damaged due to an increase of pressure within the veins resulting in venous insufficiency. When this problem becomes long-standing, it is referred to as chronic venous insufficiency. When these valves are damaged, it can cause swelling, pain, and skin changes. While they typically develop in the legs, varicose veins can also appear in other parts of the body....
Everyday people worldwide are searching for how to lose weight fast and without exercise. The problem is, weight loss is a goal that is seldom achieved by taking pills and supplements due to the fact that most of the products out there are ineffective and based on premature research which is usually carried out on animals rather than humans. Many of these supplements are marketed off of their so-called "traditional uses" or based on the fact that the people who live where the so-called berry or herb comes from are all very lean. The companies marketing these products fail to mention that the people in these places also live in poverty and don't have enough to eat in order to become obese. On top of this, patients sometimes opt for surgeries such as gastric bypass and liposuction to lose weight, however, gastric bypass patients are constantly developing nutritional deficiencies. ...
Patients with Parkinson's disease experience a severe lack of dopamine - a neurotransmitter. This is due to the reduction in endogenous production of dopamine in the substantia nigra - the part of the brain that contains an abundance of dopaminergic (dopamine-producing) neurons. With this said, L-dopa (the precursor to dopamine) becomes the foundation of treatment which is why drugs like Sinemet (which contains L-dopa) and Pramipexole (which activates dopamine receptors) are prescribed....
